Jerry Baker has 32 years of experience in the construction industry. Jerry learned from the ground up as he began his career working with his father and followed in his footsteps to become a Carpenter by trade. He went on to become a Superintendent then later a Project Manager. Currently Executive Director of Moore's Electrical and Mechanical Construction Inc., he has spent the majority of his career focusing on healthcare construction. Over the course of his career Jerry has overseen 1.6 billion dollars of healthcare construction projects with tremendous success.
Jerry is a longtime member of both VSHE and ASHE. His participation provided the opportunity for Jerry to earn his Infection Control and Healthcare Construction Certifications in 2002 in a class taught by Deputy Executive Director of ASHE, Doug Erickson. Jerry’s grass-roots perspective has allowed him to become a true advocate of the healthcare industry, particularly whenever construction is involved. He has, and continues to, educate contractors on safe practices helping them to develop and implement healthcare specific safety programs within their respective organizations.
